These nomads, spread across southeastern Iran, southern Afghanistan and western Pakistan, carry with them age-old traditions that have been passed on for generations.
Our collection, from the Iranian pilgrimage site of Mashad, includes these beautiful Baluchi carpets. The characteristic red, brown and dark blue color patterns decorate these carpets, which are characteristic of high-quality wool. In some cases, however, goat hair, camel hair and/or silk are also used, which adds to the diversity and richness of each carpet.
Baluchi carpets are distinguished not only by their warm colors and diverse materials, but also by their modest dimensions, which make them perfect for various spaces. The unique characteristic of the Baluchi style manifests itself in the geometric contradictions such as hexagons, squares and triangles, making each carpet a visual masterpiece.
Behind this beautiful work of art are four or five skilled craftsmen, who work with passion and light bulb for six hours every day.
