Spread across southeastern Iran, southern Afghanistan and western Pakistan, these nomads carry centuries-old traditions with them.
Our collection, sourced from the Iranian pilgrimage site of Mashad and available in our online store, captures the vibrant shades of red, brown and deep blue that are typical of Baluchi carpets. Although mainly made of wool, this carpet can also be enriched with cotton, goat hair, camel hair and/or silk, giving it a unique texture.
Baluchi carpets, characterized by their modest size, carry a unique artistic flair, with geometric motifs such as hexagons, squares and triangles that distinguish the Baluchi style. The artisanal process of making a Baluchi carpet, with four or five skilled craftsmen investing 6 hours every day, shows dedication and patience, with production time taking up to ten months.
