Persian Baluchi Carpet - Handmade - 120 x 235cm
Discover the enchanting world of Baluch carpets with this masterpiece, measuring 120x235 cm, fashioned by the skilled Baluch nomads from most of Iran. Heirs to a centuries-old fundamental tradition, these nomads today spread across southeastern Iran, southern Afghanistan and western Pakistan. Our collection, carefully selected from the Iranian pilgrimage site of Mashad, includes these unique Baluchi carpets that tell a story of craftsmanship and tradition.
The warm color tones of red, brown and dark blue adorn these carpets, usually made from high-quality wool, but with the option of adding cotton, goat hair, camel hair and/or silk. Baluchi carpets differ slightly from other styles, but retain a unique charm.
What really characterizes the Baluchi style is the similar geometric shapes such as hexagons, squares and triangles, which give each carpet a personal character. Behind each carpet lies the admirable craftsmanship of four to five artisans who spend six hours a day weaving,
