The team
The people behind Bazar Bizar are a creative duo, where one focuses on the artistic side and is also the public 'face' of the label, while the other takes care of the logistics. As world travelers they had already seen many sights, but Indonesia felt like a 'homecoming'. They fell in love with the country, the Balinese culture, the traditional craftsmanship and the people. This is how they came up with the idea of starting an online shop for unique furniture and original decorative objects, made by Balinese housewives. Each item is unique and has its own story to tell. All items are (hand)made in a sustainable way and it is also a way to support the local Balinese economy. Because Pascale and Eddy take care of the entire production process themselves, they also keep control over it: from production to delivery. They pay special attention to good working conditions, high-quality workmanship and guarantee fair wages for their workers. This means that everything "Bazar Bizar" offers is both ecological and fair trade, and in the future... they plan to keep it that way.
